Introduction
Okay today i am going to give some tips on how to play a Restoration Druid.

  • Nature's Focus 3/3 - This talent reduces the pushback you receive while being damaged by 70%. It is really important because for example we have a tank with really low HP and nearly most of the creatures are fighting you, Due to the Pushbacks you receive you wont be able to heal the tank which means that he will die.
  • Subtlety 3/3 - This talent reduces the threat you gain while healing by 30%. It is Really important ! I mean.. Duh who would want the aggro on the healer O_O ?
  • Nature's Swiftness 1/1 - Makes your next healing spell instant cast. for example : Tank is on low hp or some other healer, Nobody wants them to die right ? Cast Nature's Swiftness and Healing Touch or something ( i prefer Healing touch because it heals really much but for the cost of much mana X_X )
  • Gift of Nature 5/5 - Increases the effect of all healing spell by 10%. What should i say ?
  • Tree of Life 1/1 - Reduces the mana cost of HoT (Heal over Time) by 20%. Also while in that form, You increase healing received to party/raid members in 100 yards by 6%. Tho you can only cast Restoration spells otherwise the shapeshift will fade.
  • Improved Tree of Life 3/3 - Increases Armor Contribution from items by 200%, also increases you Spell Power by 15% of your total Spirit while in the shapeshift.
  • Living Spirit 3/3 - Increases your Spirit by 15%. Needed for Improved Tree of Life = More Spell power.
  • Wild Growth 1/1 - Massive Heal over Time. Like Lifebloom, but casted over 5 party/raid members in the range : 15 yards of the target. Let me get this straight : You cast it on a target, And up to 5 party/raid members in a range of 15 yards of the target you've already cast Wild Growth get the HoT ( Heal over Time ) too.

  • Spells


In this section ill review most of the spells we are using.

  • Healing Touch - Great healing ability. Heals a lot but slow and costs a lot of mana. Main use for it is when Nourish is to weak to heal people for example we have the tank or somebody else with low hp Nourish doesn't have enough power to heal them, so cast Healing Touch.
  • Rejuvenation - First Healing over Time ability lasts for 12 sec and heals each 3 seconds. Remember it cannot heal somebody that's almost dead, so use them on wounded members.
  • Regrowth - Healing + Healing over Time. Quick spell, Heals your target and leaves a Heal over Time on it for 6 seconds healing each 2 seconds
  • Swiftmend - This is an instant heal with a 15 second cooldown. It needs either Rejuvenation or Regrowth to be present on your target to work, casting Swiftmend or 'SM' will consume the HoT on your target (unless you use Glyph of Swiftmend).
  • Lifebloom - Great Healing over Time ability. It can stack up to 3 (three) times on your target lasts for 10 seconds and heals each 1 second. At the end it blooms and heals the target for amount of health
  • Nourish - this is our cheapest cast. Nourish is used to give people a small bit of health without wasting to much mana. Nourish is also more effective if you use it on someone who already has a HoT, this makes it heal for 20% more!
  • Wild Growth - As i already said earlier : It heals 5 targets over a duration of 7 seconds, healing every 1 second. Wild Growth will target people who need healing the most and has a 8 second cooldown. It is mainly used when a lot of people are taking damage.
  • Tranquility - Massive group/Raid Heal . Used when more members of the group or of the raid are taking damage and you can not handle it. A little tip : To avoid push backs.
  • Revive - Revives a party member. Can only be cast when you are out of combat.
  • Rebirth - Same as Revive, but it can be casted in combat and has a 10 Minute Cooldown.
  • Nature's Swiftness: This is one of our emergency heals. It's very useful to macro this spell with Healing Touch so that you have an instant heal when needed. Can be used with any spell cast to make it instant. 3 minute cooldown. Macro goes : /cast Nature's Swiftness

Those are the Main Healing spells now onto the Glyphs Section.
  • Glyphs

The glyphs i reccomend are are : Major: Glyph of Swiftmend, Glyph of Lifebloom, Glyph of Rejuvenation | Minor: Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth, Glyph of the Wild, Third is your choice. A little review ill make over here:

  • Glyph of Swiftmend - No longer consumes a Rejuvenetion or Regrowth from your target !
  • Glyph of Lifebloom - Increases it duration by 1 second.
  • Glyph of Rejuvenation - While your target is below 50% health, you heal them for an additional 50% health.
  • Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth - Rebirth no longer requires a reagent.
  • Glyph of the Wild - Reduces the mana cost of Mark of the Wild and Gift of the Wild spells by 50%.


Those are the glyphs i recommend if you have any better ideas share with me :)


  • Stats


Being primarily HoT-based healers, druids rely heavily on stats that improve the effectiveness of their HoTs. In general, stat priorities for druids are very simple, but at higher levels of gear these priorities change and become a bit more complex.

  • While in pre-raiding/5-man-heroic gear:

Spell Power > Spirit > Int > Mp5 > Haste > Crit > Stam

  • Once mana becomes less of an issue:

Spell Power > Spirit > Haste > Int > Mp5 > Crit > Stam

  • Once you have more than ~1500 Spell Power:

Spell Power > Haste (to soft cap) > Spirit > Crit > Haste (past soft cap) > Int > Mp5 > Stam This also is a tip about socketing. In case you are running out of mana: Do not panic, all druids have a spell called Innervate this spell Causes the target to regenerate mana that equals to 225% of the Druid's base mana pool over 20 sec.
