WOTLK Install Instructions
From Eternal Wiki
If you already have a 3.3.5a client, you do not need to follow the directions below. Proceed to the Connection Guide
Due to popular demand, and the fact that it is a ROYAL pain in the rear to downpatch to 3.3.5a.
We are providing a ready to go, no installation required, 3.3.5a torrent. Keep in mind, this torrent is 16GB in size.
Steps to getting the 3.3.5a Ready to go client.
1. Download and Install uTorrent from here. (Very Very Easy)
- Note: For those that use uTorrent, follow this guide and also in Options->Preferences->BitTorrent, choose "Forced" under Protocol Encryption Outgoing.
2. Download and load the torrent file into uTorrent.
3. Wait until uTorrent reports that the file is completely downloaded. (Might want to do this overnight, could take up to a day or two on very slow connections.)
4. Download and install our Launcher from here. (Very Easy)
5. The Launcher will ask for the location of where you downloaded the file to. Point it to where you saved the client to. (Usually your Documents or Downloads folder.)
Mac Users
Installation:
You will need the WOTLK client. This file has a downloader for all WOW clients - make sure you select "Wrath of the Lich King". (Don't let it patch though - see below)
World of Warcraft Full Mac Install Client - Big Download
Before you install the game, make sure to switch out the WoW.exe and the Launcher.exe in the folder for the fully patched 3.3.5a WoW.app (Fully patched WoW.app for 3.3.5a is available for download Here) After this is done, you can install the game with the installer and follow the rest of the instructions on this page.
Realmlist:
The file is located in /Applications/World of Warcraft/Data/enUS/realmlist.wtf. Right or control click this file, go to the "Open With..." option, and select "Other". It will open your Applications folder. Select "TextEdit" then "Open".
Select everything in this file (command-a), and paste:
set realmlist logon.Eternal-WoW.com

@Cromel12345: yes. you can only have one server set at a time. my suggestion to you is save multiple instances of the file, and add "-[server name]" to the name of the file. depending on which server you want to play on, you can delete that suffix from the file name so it reads "realmlist.wtf" again.
Examples:
realmlist-molten.wtf
realmlist-eternal.wtf
When I want to switch between the two, i just delete the "-" and everything after it, but before the ".wtf" in the file name. It reads as the correct file for WOW and drops you into that server. If you feel like switching, you can just rename the file and change the other one.
Does that make any sense?
